Why isn't my iron-on patch sticking?
- The glue from the iron-on adhesive attaches to the garment/item when melted at the correct settings, it will be absorbed into the fibres to form a lasting bond. If you over heat the patch you can destroy the glue, so care must be taken during application. If the non sticking patch doesn't have any (or only parts of) glue left on the back (the glue is shiny) then this means that the glue has been destroyed during a failed application and the only options left are to use a fabric glue or sew. If you still have a shiny back to the patch then this could indicate that not a high enough heat setting was used. Refer to our application guide for more help.
